Creating Your Optimal Profile As a Transportation and Logistics Freelance Writer

Even in the online world, first impressions are everything which is why you'll want to ensure your Scripted profile showcases your expertise and writing skills. This ensures the client that their transportation and logistics freelance writing jobs are in good hands when they hire you. To create an optimal profile, you'll need three things:

  • A profile picture: ideally, this picture will be well-lit and cropped around your smiling face.
  • A writer's bio that includes your professional experience and interests. The main goal of your bio is to position you as an authority in your field.
  • Writing samples: The client will want to see what you've written in the past to determine whether you're a good fit to be hired for their logistics freelance writing jobs. If you're just beginning and don't yet have writing samples, you can write spec articles and post them to your LinkedIn profile or personal blog.

How to Create Long-term Relationships with Clients on Scripted

The key to building a freelance writing career on Scripted is knowing how to build long-term relationships with Scripted clients. Quality work, consistency, and on-time delivery will likely catch the eye of the clients and put you in a position to be offered transportation and logistics freelance writing jobs directly. There are a few different keys to developing long-term relationships with clients on Scripted:

  • Deliver quality work — Before submitting any job go back to the content brief to confirm you've hit every objective and guideline provided by the client. On top of that, your writing should be free of errors and written well.
  • Set the tone — As soon as you claim or win a job, spend a few minutes looking over the creative brief. This is for two reasons. One is that you want to acquaint yourself with the job objectives and two you want to see if you have any questions. From there, send the client a note via the messages function to say hello and request any needed clarification. This gesture sets the tone for communication and lets the client know their job is in the right hands.
  • Deliver on time — Make sure to monitor your deadlines so you can deliver quality work on time. If at all possible, it never hurts to turn your work in early.

There are plenty of transportation and logistics freelance writing jobs available, as well as jobs for other industries, on Scripted and if you see one that you know you'd be a good fit for that isn't a SmartMatch option, you can submit a pitch to win the job. Your pitch should include:

  • A summary of what makes you an authority and a good match for the job.
  • Links to previous work that illustrate why you're a good match for the job.

Set Prices Your Knowledge and Experience Deserve

When you pitch an idea on Scripted, you get to set a price that you believe is fair to the client and your experience. Clients can even send you an additional tip to reward you for excellent work.
