Why Blankets Are the Best

B L A N K E T S November is all about blankets. Seriously. Even as I write this, it is November and I'm curled up in a blanket. I have become a collector of blankets - wearing them, making them, snuggling them. Who needs a dog when you have a fuzzy blanket? (brb crying forever because I wish my dog could live in my apartment.) 1. MAKE A BLANKET I love crocheting blankets. It is super easy and HELLA satisfying. You just made something with your hands that will keep you alive*! There are a bunch of great tutorials out there for you to try. I recently completed a blanket using this method. It covers my whole bed now, so I've officially lost the war on mornings. Although it isn't the fastest way to make a blanket, it's a great project to keep plugging away at. Since you're not working on the whole blanket at once, it's easy to transport the project -- you can keep making more squares on the road and piece them together at home. (*See: warm, which in freezing temperatures is important to sustain life) 2. WEAR A BLANKET Okay, I know I've talked about this before, but it is truly something I'm passionate about. Sometimes the only thing that gets me out of bed is knowing I can bring a blanket with me wherever I go. I recently got my hands on this vest and I have to stop myself from wearing it every day. You're welcome. 3. SNUGGLE A BLANKET Can I tell you how many blankets are in my living room? 5-7 at any given moment. They are a staple in our household. Trust me, you can never have enough blankets. Furry ones, soft ones, blankets that are like giant sweaters.. so good. If you're ever at Target wondering if you should get that blanket, I would tell you to get it. But also you don't need to listen to me always. Just know that I'd tell you to get it. 4. PAIR A BLANKET Okay, blankets are best paired with wine/tea, conversation, and/or relaxation. Spend some time with your favorites this month. Have a great (and cozy) November!
