Let me be blunt: There are a lot of freelance writers and editors out there who advertise skills they haven't quite mastered, and take on projects they're not prepared to complete. In my work through another major freelancing site, I've been solicited to help clean up messes they've left behind.
Suffice it to say, I'm a different breed. I graduated summa cum laude from UC Berkeley's English department and worked as a newspaper copy editor before I wrote and sold "The 37th Hour," the first of my four crime/mystery novels. In addition, I ghostwrote a nonfiction book with a D.C. policy wonk. The kinds of writing I'm at ease with includes blog posts, essays, listicles, trivia quizzes, humor, screenplays and teleplays.
