Creating Your Optimal Profile in Media and Entertainment Writing

Media and Entertainment freelance writing jobs are in high demand. Here's how to get hired for freelance writing jobs in this industry on Scripted.

Your profile is one of the first things potential clients will see when searching for a writer, so it's essential to put your best foot forward. Start by adding an industry-specific title that clearly states what you do, like "TV Writer" or "SEO Entertainment Journalist." Then, add an overview of your experience and what you bring to the table. Be sure to include any relevant clips or writing samples so clients can see your work in action.

Finally, add some keywords that describe your skills and experience. This will help potential clients find you when searching for a writer with specific qualifications in the Media and Entertainment industry.

How to Create Pitches to Win Media and Entertainment Jobs

Now that you know how to create an irresistible profile and find the perfect clients, it's time to pitch your ideas. When writing pitches for Media and Entertainment freelance writing jobs, there are a few things you should keep in mind.

First, make sure your pitch is relevant to the client's needs. This means doing your research and tailoring your pitch to their specific industry. Second, keep your pitch concise and to the point. Clients in this industry are busy, so they'll appreciate a well-written pitch that gets straight to the point. Finally, include any relevant writing samples or links to previous work. This will allow clients to see your work in action and decide if you're the right fit for the job.

Set Prices Your Knowledge and Experience Deserve

When you pitch an idea on Scripted, you get to set a price that you believe is fair to the client and your experience. Clients can even send you an additional tip to reward you for excellent work.

Every project has a minimum price that ensures writers get paid a fair amount. You always control how much you charge, but the minimum prevents writers from drastically undercutting each other for jobs.
