I have a two-track career: I am an attorney currently practicing law with one of the US's largest national law firms. I'm a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, where I was Book Review Editor on the Michigan Law Review. One of my first published pieces of writing was my student Note, published in the Law Review. I have also written for trade magazines about legal concepts and small business-related topics, creating accessible and clear articles designed for a nonlegal audience.
My second career is as a writer, designer and editor in the craft field. I've had five knitting books published by national publishers like Lark Crafts/Sterling and F&W Media; scores of articles about knitting and other fiber-related topics published in leading magazines such as Vogue Knitting, Interweave Knits, Creative Knitting, KnitSimple, Noro Magazine, Jane Austen Magazine and many more. I publish my own patterns and do editing for both publishing companies and yarn companies.
