Patti Richards is a 25-year publishing industry veteran. She retired from a career in secondary English education and began her writing career as a journalist, but soon started writing for children. Patti has three nonfiction picture book titles to her credit that released in 2017 and 2018, and in December of 2017 her children's story, "The Christmas Candles," appeared in Highlights Magazine for kids. Patti was also a finalist in the 85th and 86 Annual Writer's Digest Writing Contest in the children's/YA category in 2016 and 2017. Her first story appeared in Boy’s Quest Magazine and her first children’s e-book, SNOW ANGELS, is available from MeeGenius Publications/Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Patti was also a finalist in the 2014 Katherine Paterson Prize for Young Adult and Children’s Writing at Hunger Mountain. Her work has appeared in San Diego Parent Magazine, Metro Parent Magazine, The Lookout Magazine, Homelife Magazine and UP Entertainment. Patti and her family live in Michigan.
