Café Saigon Vietnamese Grille Comes to Driggs

Driggs, IDAHO–September 8, 2011–Imagine a restaurant that combines the flavors and freshness of a busy market in Asia. Here you can savor the irresistible flavors of authentic Vietnamese Pho (pronounced "fuh"), a slow-simmered beef soup infused with roasted onion, ginger, star anise, cinnamon, and cloves, served with rice noodles and tender slices of beef then topped with cilantro, green onion, and a squeeze of fresh lime. Enjoy fresh made spring rolls, banh mi baguette sandwiches, grilled chicken, lemongrass pork, and tiger shrimp, served with steamed rice or rice noodles in combinations your taste buds have only dreamed of before.

Step through the doors of Café Saigon and you'll enter a world of explosive flavors and some of the best dishes Vietnamese cuisine offers. With its unique and delicious flavors, Vietnamese cuisine has French and Chinese influences and is the third healthiest cuisine in the world.

The décor is warm and inviting, making Café Saigon a perfect place for a business lunch, an intimate date, or a family outing. Perhaps the most intriguing characteristic of Café Saigon is that it is the only Vietnamese restaurant in the area. Café Saigon also offers a wide range of vegetarian and gluten-free options to choose from and is open for lunch, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and dinner, Monday through Saturday, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

"The concept for Café Saigon is to provide healthy, authentic, fresh, and affordable Asian food to the area," said Joseph Byers, the owner and executive chef. "My wife, Crystal, and I wanted to bring something unique to the area… and we did. Not only the restaurant, but we hired Don Nguyen, a Vietnamese chef who is now the valley's only Vietnamese resident. I was getting so busy that I couldn't handle the volume by myself and it would be impossible to train someone quickly, so finding Don was a real blessing." Byers also said that with Don in the kitchen, he can focus more on the business side of things.

Stop by Café Saigon and see Don Nguyen and Byers chatting in Vietnamese with each other while they prepare fresh and fascinating dishes with excellent flavors to entertain your taste buds.
