Megan McBride

With a background in social science and forestry, Megan worked with the National Park Service as the Senior Research Associate for the Social Science Program, reviewing and processing technical research proposals. Wanting more flexibility in schedule and longing for more creative pursuits, Megan left her full-time job in 2009 and began working as a freelance writer and researcher, property manager, and mom. Megan has completed contracts with nature-based non-profits, as well as the National Park Service, written and edited a variety of personal and scholarly articles for various publications and organizations, and most recently, co-founded and writes a newsletter (ITKparent.com) about parenting in the digital age. Megan lives in Colorado with her husband and daughter, and all three can be found playing in the mountains on most weekends.
