James McCown

I am a widely published freelance writer specializing in the architecture, urban planning, engineering and construction fields. I have written for major publications including Architectural Record, Metropolis and Architect's Newspaper. I also work with A/E/C firms writing their web copy, project descriptions, ghost-written articles and blogs. I have a BA from Loyola University New Orleans and an ALM (Master's Degree) from Harvard University. In addition to my qualifications in the A/E/C industry, I spent 15 years in New York as a corporate communications executive at a large real estate investment company. I know both residential and commercial real estate, especially the latter, and am versed in the office, retail, hotel and industrial segments of the field.
