Attribution
Attribution means connecting marketing activities to actual business outcomes like revenue and pipeline, a core part of Paige's intelligence.
What is Attribution?
Attribution is how you prove marketing is working. It's the process of connecting each published asset to the sessions, leads, opportunities, and revenue it influenced, and doing it in a way that survives scrutiny from finance and leadership.
Paige builds attribution into the workflow from the start: assets are tagged on the way out, engagement is captured, and downstream conversion data from your CRM and warehouse is stitched back to the specific piece that touched the buyer.
The goal isn't a perfect single-number ROI, that number doesn't exist honestly. It's a defensible, directional view of which themes, formats, and channels are moving the business so the next quarter's plan is grounded in evidence.
Why Attribution matters
Prove marketing's impact
Every asset ties back to pipeline and revenue, so marketing has real numbers to bring to the CFO conversation.
Kill work that doesn't perform
Themes that don't influence pipeline get retired quickly instead of quietly consuming budget quarter after quarter.
Fund what's working
Winning topics, formats, and channels are obvious in the data, so budget reallocation becomes an easy conversation.
Stronger renewal conversations
For agencies and vendors, real attribution replaces vanity metrics, and makes the value story write itself.
Inside Attribution
-
1
Tag on the way out
Every asset is instrumented at publish so its downstream engagement can be traced back to a specific brief and theme.
-
2
Capture engagement
Sessions, reads, form fills, and content interactions are logged against the source asset.
-
3
Stitch to revenue
CRM and warehouse data ties leads and closed deals back to the assets that touched them, first, last, and multi-touch.
-
4
Feed strategy
The resulting model informs what Paige plans next, themes with pipeline influence get more oxygen.
Frequently asked questions
Isn't attribution basically impossible now with privacy changes?
Perfect attribution, yes. Directional attribution, no, first-party data, CRM stitching, and modeled attribution together give you a defensible view even without third-party cookies.
Do we need a data warehouse?
It helps for enterprise-grade attribution but isn't required. Paige works with common CRM and analytics stacks out of the box.
How do you handle content that influences but doesn't convert?
Multi-touch models credit influencing assets, not just the last-click piece, so top-of-funnel content gets fair credit for the pipeline it warms up.
